About
Who publishes this
ForMyGluco is built and published by Erdoğan Dağdelen. I am an independent, one-person developer: there is no company, investor or institution behind this. Based in İzmir, Türkiye. On the App Store the seller name appears as Erdogan Dagdelen: the same person, written without Turkish diacritics.
I build ForMyGluco as someone who has lived with diabetes for years, as the app I use myself, every single day. Built with the experience of people with diabetes, for people with diabetes.
But I am not a physician. I hold no degree in medicine, nursing or dietetics. Living with diabetes is not medical expertise, and my own experience is not what the texts on this site rest on. What they rest on is sources, described below. Nothing here is medical advice and it should not be read as such.
What ForMyGluco does, and what it does not
ForMyGluco is a logging and tracking app. It records your glucose readings, insulin and medications, lab results and appointments; from the values you enter it calculates an estimated HbA1c, time in range and trends; and it produces a PDF you can take to your doctor.
What it does not do matters just as much:
- It does not measure your blood sugar. You do that with your own device.
- It does not suggest doses, treatment changes or diagnoses.
- It is not a medical device and makes no such claim.
The decisions are yours and your doctor's. Every estimated figure the app produces exists to make the conversation easier, not to make the decision for you.
How the content is produced
The articles and the glossary are grounded in peer-reviewed literature and institutional guidelines. Every article lists its sources with full citations; across the site there are now more than a thousand references to PubMed, PubMed Central, the WHO, NICE and diabetes journals. An article without sources does not get published; that is a publishing rule, enforced at build time.
The full set of rules lives on its own page: Editorial Policy. It covers which source types are accepted, which sentences are forbidden, how translations are checked, and what we do not do. Every source used is listed institution by institution on the Source index page. If you find a translation error or a factual error, tell me and I will correct it.
The articles are informational and can age. If a text here contradicts what your doctor tells you, your doctor is right.
